Program
Day 1 9.30 Guests are collected from their hotel
and taken by taxi to the port (around 30 min).
The boat will take you on the 1 or 1,5 hours journey to Prek Toal or Peak Kanteil floating villages, then boating across the great lake and its flooded forest. On the way, your Osmose guide will explain you about the unique ecosystem of the lake and the habitats of the local flora and fauna. 12.00 Enjoy lunch at the Community
Restaurant after arrival in the floating village.
2.00 After lunch guests are taken
by the villagers on a special Community Based Village Tour by traditional Khmer paddle boat. This tour was developed by the villagers themselves, to showcase different aspects of community life.
4.00 It’s now for you the opportunity to
spend time with the ladies from Saray Tonle learning how to weave your own souvenir of your trip here! These sessions are important confidence building opportunities for the women, and a unique chance for visitors to meet, interact with and learn from community members.
5.30 We will take the time to appreciate
the daily life on the lake and watch the magnificent sunset.

The dinner will be taking at the Community Restaurant and then you will discover the floating house where you will spend the night with a family.
Day 2 6.30 Breakfast (can be earlier or later on request)
After breakfast, your guide will take you to the top of the Environmental Research Station, from where he will give you an aerial 360 degree tour of the village. Return to Siem Reap. You will be back to your hotel around 10 am. |
